Louise,
I’m impressed with your photos. The world around you is really so beautiful:-)
I have a question on using one of your photos as default screen in our Macintosh software Image Tricks:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/aussiegall/608279033/
Could you please contact me at iren@belightsoft.com, so that I could send you my question by email.
Irina
Thanks Irina,
I will send you an email.
Hi Louise,
Thanks for your respond. I didn’t get your email, so I’ll ask my question here:
My question is about one of your photos posted on Flickr under a Creative Common license. This photo is very colorful and bright, so applying effects to it creates beautiful results:

We are reviewing the opportunity to make this photo the default picture for the new version of our Image Tricks program, an image editor for Mac OS X, available in Free and Pro versions:

I would like to check if it is OK to use this image for such purpose for free? Please let me know what copyright notice or link to you should be added to the software. Looking forward to your respond.

Hi Louise,
I wondered if I could use one of your stunning tram images in an article I am writing for a magazine?
Would you be able to drop me a line and let me know? It’s a print publication so I would need it in high res if possible. You would of course be credited and I will put a link to your flickr site or blog.
Please let me know.
Many thanks in advance,
Laura
Hi Louise,
Found you on Flickr and absolutely love your macro photos, especially bees. I am on a similar journey inspired by the Blue Banded Bees, have fallen in love with their cute faces and had to refresh my photography skills so I could finally capture some images. I also have been planting my garden with bee friendly plants when I get some down time. I am a Beekeeper so not suprisingly I noticed the native varieties and have developed a passion for them. Just a couple of questions about the Blue Banded as to location are you in the Brisbane area and have you noticed if they survive the winter. I have two still going strong, def males but cant find there roost. Also did you get around to making any artifical homes for them?
Hi Corrine,
Thanks for your message . Glad to meet a mutual native bee lover. I live in the Sydney area and unfortunately my blue banded bees die out around april-may. I think its just too cold for them to survive the winter. they usually show up again around September to October when the soil warms up again then a new lot hatch and come out of the burrows they were developing in through winter. You are extremely lucky to still have them in your garden. No I didnt make the homes for them as we got a puppy who is into everything and I was worried that she might destroy them, she was going through a digging and chewing stage and destroyed quite a few things in the garden. Now she is a lot more settled and past that stage I will probably set some up this year.
[...] and flowers photos, and the comments were interesting, so I clicked on the photographer’s site aussiegall which took me to her blog, and one of her posts, November 23 2009 was entitled ‘Amazing Talent [...]
Thanks Victor,
Im glad I inspire you. Are you on Flickr?
